Biography:
Bashir sakhawarz is an author from Afghanistan and has written the following books:
1. Collection of Essays on Persian poets
2. Collection of Essays on Mualana Jalaldin Balkhi
3. Sabzineh Sharqi poetry collection
4. Pileh Tanhaiee poetry collection
5. Octavio Paz, Translation of Octavio Paz poetry
In addition to these books, Bashir Sakhawarz is written many articles in English and has represented Afghanistan in seminars and conferences in countries such as Tajikistan, India, Poland, USA and England. He has also worked as a freelance journalist for the BBC Persian Service.
Bashir Sakhawarz has a PhD in Development studies and has worked in many countries in Europe, Asia and Africa involved in humanitarian projects.
Born in Afghanistan and spent most of his working career time in developing countries he provided guidance, leadership and advice for the UN, but also for its partners in the field of poverty reduction.
Bashir Sakhawarz has a total of eighteen years of managing large scale and complex projects support by multi donors. He is serious to address the cross cutting issues of the projects such as sensitivity to gender, environment, community participation and income generation.
His experience covers a wide range of projects and has involved those in which community participation has been a key element. Having worked for Governments, donor agencies and NGOs, he has developed a full understanding of diverse nature of project implementation. His work with the NGOs developed his skills in involving the target groups in the planning, design and implementation of projects.
