Name: David Franklin Symons (David Lugo)
Nationality: Mexican
Location: Guadalajara, Jalisco - Mexico
Profession: Architect and painter

Education:
Architecture School
ITESO University. Guadalajara, Mexico

Biography:

I was born in Guadalajara, Mexico in 1981. Since I was a child I've always been interested in art.

Basically I am a self thought artist. My attraction for painting started in university. During long hours in the public library, I would read books such as "The tragic myth of the Angelus of Millet" written by Salvador Dali or "Van Gogh, a suicide of society” written by Antonin Artaud. With these book and other like them my obsession for modern and post-modern artists began, artist like Sebastian Bach, Julian Schnabel, and Jean Michel Basquiat.

Currently I am developing in the fields of conceptual art and photographic, inspired by artists such as Vito Acconci, Robert Barry, Gabriel Orozco.
