Biography :
Niloofar
completed her secondary education in Tehran, during
this period she also studied for seven years Ballet
and Piano. She left Iran for Germany in 1985 where she studied at
the university of G”teh in Frankfurt. She studied
German literature, theatre, cinema, television and pedagogy.
During
her study she also concentrated in play writing and
small articles, which were printed in the press
that was distributed abroad. In 1994 she obtained
her Masters
and in the same year she established herself in a theatre
group called 'Darecheh'. Since then she has been successful
in directing seven plays that were
performed
in several European countries. She also has written
five plays and more than forty articles related to theatre
that were all printed. These have regarded the subject
of women, their political and social issues.
She has given several press interviews as well as radio
interviews BBC Radio in Farsi, Doyeche Volah in Israel
and Free Europe.
Niloofar Beyzaie has also has been a Human Rights
activist.
