Biography:
Parima was born in 1961
in Tehran , Iran . She became involved
in the puppet theatre production and painting
in the Centre for Cultural Development
of Children and Young Adults (Kanoon).
She was awarded a Diploma in graphic design
and painting from the Behzad School of
fine art, in Tehran in 1980. She passed
the exam to enrol at "Azad
university of Tehran " but was not accepted
after admitting that she never practice
Islamic daily pray. Later she took private
lessons with "manuchehr Motabar" and "Saeed
Shahlapoor"while working professionally
as a painter and designer.
Parima began her work as a painter, graphic
designer, jewellery designer, costume and
puppet designer and art director in Iran
from 1979. She also undertook several interior
design projects and taught painting and
handicraft to children aged 3-6 years old.
In recent years
parima is concentrating on jewellery
making and design. Her work as a jewellery
designer has been featured in latest
issue of international magazine 'Jewellery
World' March, 2003.
