PUBLICATIONS :

The poet, Sheema Kalbasi writes in several languages and wrote her first poem at the age of eight. Her works have been translated and published in various anthologies, literary journals, and online magazines. Her poems "For Women of Afghanistan" and "Mama in the War" have attracted critical attention. Kalbasi's other artistic interests are photography and painting. Kalbasi holds a Degree in General Studies from the U.S. and is a nursing student from the Danish School of Nursing and Radiography. She has worked as an interpreter for UNHCR and CRM, and has been an active member of United Nations' youth department. She has traveled frequently, having resided in a variety of countries since a very young age. Today she lives with her husband and their daughter in the United States.

Recent Publications Women on War: An International Collection of Writings from Antiquity to the Present. Listening to the Birth of Crystals: an anthology benefiting Deaf children.

Publication of co-authored poems by Sheema Kalbasi and Roger Humes.
