Biography:
Born 1949 in Tehran,
loved to draw from an early age, finished
Alborz High School, but couldn't take it
at the university, went to London in 67,
began painting, became a socialist, active
in the 60's student movement, opposed the
Shah, started publishing in 71, did my
undergraduate studies at Queen Mary and
postgraduate at Imperial College, went
back home in 78 to participate in the revolution,
then came a whole new batch of paintings,
opposed the clerical regime, continued
publishing, forced into exile in Paris
in 83, and into new publications and new
paintings, couldn't stomach the overbearing
Parisian superficialities, back to London
in 86, began working as a lecturer, now
as a consultant, and still paint and publish.
But all that aside, have now a beautiful
daughter who is the star of all my fortunes!
